I honestly never thought I would be the one asking for help. I am usually the one giving help to others.
I am unemployed and have been so since August of 2007. I work in the accounting field and I am having the hardest time finding employment. I am WILLING TO WORK if someone hires me. For example, I applied two months ago to a shipping firm. Was told verbally and via writing that I am one of the top two candidates. For one month this was delayed, and that was delayed and last Thursday he tells me that he will Fed Ex the background paperwork to me. I have called consistantly to remind him to Fed Ex the paperwork to me. I even VOLUNTEERED to come to the office and fill out the paperwork there-but he said that he would mail the paperwork.
My unemployment ran out last month and I have NO INCOME coming in. After the thirty first-my bus card runs out and I have no money to buy Aprils. Needless to say, I don't have Aprils rent either. I am so frustrated and hurt. I am signed up with every temp agency and job board I can find. Neither has yielded any leads nor results.
I know that there are many scam artists out there, but I am looking for more than MONEY-I WANT TO WORK. Please help me.
